2026-2027 (MY 2026) AYSO Age Chart
AYSO uses a school-year age matrix with an August 1 cutoff to determine player divisions, aligning with U.S. Soccer and other major youth soccer organizations.
Under this model, a player’s division is based on their age during the school-year time frame of August 1 through July 31.
For Example: A player who is 5 years old on August 1 will play in the 6U division for that Fall season.
This age group cutoff aligns soccer age groups with school-year peers, helping more players participate and stay in the game with their classmates and friends.
To help determine the appropriate division for your child, please refer to the age chart below, which follows U.S. Soccer school-year guidelines.
Fall 2026 Registration is OPEN!
Returning players that pay online* can complete the entire registration process online on this website and are not required to come to a registration.
The AYSO National Player fee of $25.00 is added for new membership year registrations. This goes to the national organization. This affects every region in AYSO, not just Region 894. If you need to cancel your registration after paying fees, this portion is non-refundable.
Players that are new to Region 894 must provide proof of age via birth certificate, passport or other government-issued ID. This can be done in person at one of the in-person registrations or by scanning or taking a photo of the document and uploading it when you register online, or sending it to [email protected].
Cash and Check payments will be accepted at walk-in registrations only.
If you are a new volunteer and we have not verified your picture ID, please print your volunteer form and bring it and your ID to one of the in-person registrations.
* There is a processing fee of $3.50 when you register online.
Must I attend an In-Person Registration?
Probably not. You are required to come to an in-person registration ONLY IF any of the following are true:
- You need to pay with cash or check.
- If any of your players need to provide proof of age and you can't scan or take a photo of the birth certificate and either email it to [email protected], or upload it to the website during the registration process. Note that images are deleted after they are verified.
- If you are a new volunteer, we must verify your identity in-person.
Otherwise, you can register and pay online and do not need to attend an in-person registration.
